The identification of a 70-kDa immunogen present in salivary gland extracts of several ixodid species, namelyHyalomma truncatum (sweating-sickness-inducing (SS+) and non-inducing (SS-) strains),Hyalomma marginatum. rufipes andRhipicephalus evertsi evertsi, is reported.
