This definition appears rarely
lacunosum-moleculare, and is therefore not considered as a classical bistratified cell. It is probably closer to the type of CCK-containing cells that selectively innervates str. lacunosum-moleculare, and is called LM-Perforant Path associated (LM-PP) cell. The dendritic tree of both bistratified and LM-PP interneurons arborizes most extensively in str. radiatum or lacunosum-moleculare.
