2003 U. K. Ordinary P/F Enthusiasts at the Abbey Park, Leicester increased the Guinness World Record number to One Hundred and Thirty One riders and machines ~ the DLPVCC being the event co-ordinators and organisers. Although enthusiasts in the USA have 'stacked' a higher number, it was NOT registered with Guinness so currently the UK enthusiasts still hold the GWR of 131 Riders & Machines. In 1984, the DLP twinned with a similar minded French group of veteran cycle enthusiasts ~ the Union Velocipedique Belle Epoque.
The club again hosting the National in 1993. The club has organised monthly events like the New Year ride and the July Jaunt and October End of Season. This together with fetes shows and all the other clubs rallies. The club has also ridden in The International Veteran Cycle Association rallies. In 1884 the Club Twined with the French Veteran Cycle club named The Union Velocipedique Belle Epoque. This Club is in the Loire valley part of France.
