2mm and weighs 558g including battery. This makes it roughly the same width and thickness as its predecessor, but a little shorter due partly to the removal of the optical viewfinder. To put this in perspective, the G1 X Mark II is similar in size to a Sony A6000 compact system camera, fitted with its 16-50mm kit zoom lens, and amazingly the Sony kit combo also weighs 100g less. The closest fixed lens 'compact' is Fujifilm's X100s which is noticeably smaller than the G1 X Mark II at 127x74x54mm and lighter as well at 445g including battery. I played with it for about an hour or so and I was already bored with it. My wife works for US Celluar and she has used the GS4 and my HTC and she said that the S4 has it in the multitasking and features dept but the HTC ONE design is top notch. So if you want quality get the HTC if you want features such as myself get the S4. Or go to the store use both and see which one you like better cause no matter what a new phone will be out in 3 to 6 months anyway right? (Motorola X, Nexus 5, iPhone 6) So buy what you want with your money, people wont judge you cause of the phone you carry and its not a life changing decision.
The G1 X was introduced in February 2012 and is a significant step out of the traditional G-line because of its much larger sensor, and it is the first model featuring a CMOS sensor. The G1 X's sensor measures 18. 7 x 14. 0 mm (1. 5"), which makes it even 16 percent bigger than the Micro Four Thirds standard (MFT), and 20 percent smaller than APS-C Canon sensor. The camera is also bigger and heavier than the other G-series cameras, and the zoom range in equivalent 35mm is only 28-112mm (4x).
