In 2004 some new experiments were accom-plished with seeds of wheat of “Jantar” type only on the fields of ISP – Kostinbrod onplaces of 200 m2, on total area of 0. 4-0. 5 h. These results were achieved by the IIT-BAS team in cooperation with theupper mentioned departments of the former Agricultural Academy. For the purposeof concluding the work and estimation of the developed methodology, estima-tion also of the designed and constructed laser system SOLAR-2M in 2005 we aimedto test some of the basic parameters by carrying out laboratory experiments in theExecutive Agency Plant Variety testing Approbation and Seed Control.
The existing inter-sterile groups in sweet cherry necessitate immediate studies on pollination relations with the aim of establishing the most suitable pollinators of the new cultivars. The new cultivar Kossara officially registered by the Executive Agency of Plant Variety Testing, Approbation and Seed Control in 2008, was included in the present investigation. The following cultivars were used as pollinators: Bigarreau Burlat, Rozita, Rivan, Nalina, Starkrimson cherry and Stella.
Authors of the study are att. Rumyana Dobreva – first licensed intellectual property representative for new plant varieties and animal breeds in Bulgaria, with rich experience in the field of the new plant varieties as an object of intellectual property and eng. Ivan Ivanov – patent specialist and industrial property representative, with marked scientific interests in the field of theory and practice of protection of new plant varieties, author of the books 'Characteristics of medicine patenting' and 'Patent analyses’, as well as of series of publications in periodicals at home and abroad. The book is a kind of a manual, revealing the requirements to be met by the new plant variety, in order to receive legal protection. The procedure of receiving legal protection is described in details – the steps before the Patent Office and the examinations of the claimed variety before the Executive Agency Plant Variety Testing, Approbation and Seed Control.
