The European Prospective Osteoporosis Study (EPOS) is the prospective phase of the European Vertebral Osteoporosis Study (EVOS) in which population-based samples had paired duplicate spinal films. Using data from EPOS, the aim of this study was to determine the incidence of vertebral fracture and the influence of age and gender on occurrence.
