The Assisting Communities Together (ACT) Project is a joint initiative of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) which makes small grants available for civil society organizations carrying out human rights promotional activities in local communities. Since its launch in 1998, it has focused on strengthening local capacities for human rights education, training and public information in the context of the United Nations Decade for Human Rights Education (1995-2004) and of the World Programme for Human Rights Education (2005-ongoing).
Offers can be submitted either in hard copy, or electronically with “Assisting Communities Together Grants Program” in the subject line. Offers received by fax will be rejected. Incomplete offers shall not be examined.
