Ajijic Society of the Arts (ASA) is a membership organization for artists working in all media in the Lake Chapala area of Mexico. Established in 1986, The Society encourages working and aspiring artists to develop their talents, and it provides and promotes events to showcase their work. ASA also functions as a social and educational network, helping members share their creative techniques and inspiration with each other to further individual artistic growth and ability.

Ajijic Society of the Arts, Third Annual Open Studios Tour.
During a presentation made at a recent Ajijic Society of the Arts (ASA) meeting, President Deena Hafker pledged a donation of $21,000 pesos for the LCS Children's Art Program. These funds are to be used for art supplies for the Saturday morning classes, plus materials for the annual five-day summer art camp this July. Both the classes and Art Camp are held at the LCS campus in Ajijic. The funds were raised by ASA members during their “Open Studios” event in February of this year.
