The Professional Association of Appraisers – Quilted Textiles (PAAQT) is an international organization established in 1992 to promote and guide professional certified quilt appraisers. All members are dedicated to providing professional and ethical expertise on quilts and quilted textiles.

The Professional Association of Appraisers – Quilted Textiles (PAAQT) is an international organization established in 1992 to promote and guide quilt appraisers certified by the American Quilter’s Society. The AQS Certified Appraisers have been thoroughly tested on their knowledge of fabrics, dates, construction techniques, the ability to recognize patterns and regional influences, and on their awareness of values of quilts and related textiles in their geographic area.
Marcia is a quilt and quilted textile appraiser certified by the American Quilter’s Society. She is a member of the Professional Association of Appraisers– Quilted Textiles, the Austin Texas Area Quilt Guild, American Quilter’s Society, the International Quilt Association and the American Quilt Study Group. Marcia has been a proud member of PAAQT: Professional Association of Appraisers: Quilted Textiles" since 2001.
In 2001, she became a Certified Appraiser of Quilted Textiles with the American Quilter’s Society. Since that time, she has appraised over 3,500 quilts. She now travels through the United States, appraising at shows, guilds and shops. She is a member of the Professional Association of Appraisers – Quilted Textiles.
